She was born, January 16, 1910, in Guernsey County, a daughter of the late Samuel D. and Estella Rush Moore. She was a graduate of the Muskingum Academy and Muskingum College. She retired from Perry Elementary School where she taught for twentyseven years. Mrs.

Piper was a member of the Sonora United Methodist Church and Frank N. Ransbotton Order of the Eastern Star of Adamsville. Her husband, Bernard L. Piper, whom she married May 20, 1930, preceded her in death on October 29, 1994; also deceased is a sister, Gail Sarbaugh; brother, Frank Moore; and a cousin, Wayne Moore. She is survived by a nephew, Ronald (Marilyn) Sarbaugh, Norwich; several great nieces and nephews, Darla (Gary) Neptune, New Concord and their children, Adam (Nicole) Armstrong and Aden and Madison; Ryan (Chris Ann) Armstrong and Brevin, Isaiah, and Slade; and Toby Neptune; Jimmy Sarbaugh, New Concord and his children, Luka Julie Marie, and Jesie Rose; Jerry (Lisa) Sarbaugh, Galena, and daughters, Payton and Gabriella; Holly Barnes, Charlotte, N.C.

Blanch was born in Roseville to the late Charles W. and Rachel Luckett Valentine on April 16, 1918. She was the owner of Shirley's Beauty Lounge on Eppley Ave. in Zanesville for 30 years and was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Roseville.

Blanch is survived by her son: James R. (Molly) Hammers of Zanesville; a daughter: Nancie Bussey of Blue Rock; a sister: Leona "Pidge" Bradley of White Cottage; six granddaughters and one grandson; and several great grandchildren. In addition to her parents; she was preceded in death by her husband's: Donald Hammers in 1959 and Joseph Dale in 1984. A private burial will be held at a later date. She was a homemaker and quiltmaker and a member of the Norwich United Methodist Church. Personal condolences may be sent to the family at black funeralhomes.com Donald "Donnie" Dwight Murray LANCASTER: Donald "Donnie" his work career with Anchor Hocking of Lancaster and later retired from TS Trim in 2002. Donnie had many passions in his life including his love of golf and OSU basketball, his faith which guided him daily, his family of whom he was so very proud, and a tremendous gift of humor which saw him, and those whose lives he touched through many of life's turmoil's.

Donnie is survived by his brother, Bill and his spouse, Connie of Crooksville; and his sister, Janice and her husband, Ronald Stoneburner of Morgan County, and their families as well as the families of his deceased siblings Gale, Jim, and Archie. Donnie was married one time to his high school sweetheart and wife of nearly 18 years, Rose Marie Peterson-Murray, (deceased) and together they had five children Scott, Beth, Jeffrey (spouse, Melissa), Daniel (spouse, Patricia), and Dawn (deceased). Donnie is survived by 14 grandchildren; and nine great grandchildren. Donnie is also survived by the members of his Jehovah's Witness congregation who grew to be a very big part of his extended family the list being far too many to recite here. Earlier, today my brother told me to look inside of a kitchen cabinet as he had wandered upon a hand written note yesterday.

I opened the kitchen cabinet while at my fathers home today and to my surprise there were several quotes cut out and taped to the inside of the door but only one that had been hand written by our father. It read, Pawks A place where chickens go to have That's it. Nothing else. In all this madness and grief, a simple note written by a beloved father, brother, and friend, which provided him a bit of humor during his times of turmoil. Maybe you had to be there, but Dad we all hope you find your Chicken Pawk.

TI INANE, 89 DEATH IN THE NEWS ANDREW KOPPEL NEW YORK (AP) A son of former ABC News anchor Ted Koppel was found dead in an apartment after a day of bar hopping with a man he'd just met, a law enforcement official said Tuesday.

A drunken Andrew Koppel, 40, had been placed in a back bedroom of a Manhattan apartment to sleep it off and apparently had been dead at least four hours before anyone realized, said Belinda Caban, who lives in the apartment. Koppel was declared dead around 1:30 a.m. Monday, New York Police Department Detective John Sweeney said. The cause of his death hadn't been determined, but there was no evidence indicating a crime, police said. Ted Koppel is the former anchor of the ABC News show "Nightline." Andrew Koppel was one of his four children.
