How lucky am I to be able to do some work in Italy at another coffee shop @ Café Vinci! Specifically, I am in my Dad’s and both of my wife’s parents hometown of Campobello di Licata, Sicily. It’s a very basic, simple small town with amazing down-to-earth people where we have a lot of family and friends.The six-hour time difference, and my own internal body clock of 11am- 2am make it a perfect working arrangement with the 9-5 working hours back home. The Sicilian people live a comfortable life here. The culture is different. I really feel quite at home. However, the café, or coffee shop is a completely different experience here in Sicily. I was the only person in the coffee shop this morning that was working on a computer! You see the Sicilians go for a cappuccino or an espresso to socialize, and their culture is all about family and friends. Our coffee shops seem to be more about business meetings, schoolwork, ear buds and seem more to be more isolated and rushed. They sit to talk, laugh literally for hours. It’s completely different from my usual Spot Coffee mornings in Williamsville. So many patrons stop at my table to say hello and to ask why I’m working while I’m on vacation? I really don’t know how to respond to their question other than to say that I truly enjoy running VIPTIX.com , working at HUNT Commercial Real Estate and Picone Construction. They look at me strange and can’t comprehend that I have three jobs. Maybe tomorrow morning I’m just going to leave my computer in our apartment and enjoy my morning the way Sicilians do.

UNDER CONTRACT: 6001-6067 Raymond Road, Lockport - 136 acres of land with over 2,000 feet of frontage on Dysinger Road. Another cross pollination deal as I call it. Great to help one of my longtime VIPTIX.com clients buy real estate. It also works the other way around, as many of my HUNT Real Estate clients end up buying event tickets from us! The sellers are family friends and our kids are very close. The buyer is a great guy and friend, who says he has me in his phone as “Super Bowl Nick”.
