Today I had the pleasure of presenting a new workshop with Therese Kempf, LCSW, 'Stress Less, Create More' for The Creative Collective NYC. The The Creative Collective NYC community felt like home 🤎. The chat was buzzing with gems, joy, and vulnerability. It was beautiful to share, discuss, and commune over ways we as Big 'C' Creatives can nurture our minds and creativity. Thank you so much to HealHaus for creating the space for us to share this offering!

As a therapist and corporate mental health facilitator, I challenge employers to take a critical look at the organizational obstacles faced by Black employees. Do they have what they need to thrive? Are they compensated fairly? Are they welcomed to bring their authentic selves to work? Have you ever asked them these questions? The workplace is full of unspoken rules, secret alliances, and bureaucratic processes that hinder employee success. These barriers impact Black employees the hardest. To create a workplace where Black employees feel safe and supported, employers must invest in their success. This is anti-racism at work. This is diversity, equity, and inclusion at work. This is systemic change at work. James Baldwin once said, "If one really wishes to know how justice is administered in a country, one goes to the unprotected – those who need the law's protection most – and listens to their testimony." Ask and listen to your Black employees so that you can take action to create a more just and equitable workplace for all. #antiracism #DEIB #systemicchange #inclusion Happy Black History Month!
