Starting to feel some buzz from the fair weathers. Tailgating is starting earlyyyy. Should be an awesome environment.

FWIW, the Twerps are in shambles after tonight's loss & now we are a "must win."

Had this on the schedule for while and will be there with dad, wife and a friend; sis would come to if she didn't have a wedding at Pippin. Only home game I can make until SMU due to honeymoon and other weddings this year.

Maryland fans certainly aren’t driving to C’ville in large numbers. If the game draws high 40K, we should consider it a strong turnout. Stop asking for sellouts — 61.5K isn’t happening. DMV & 757 season tix holders in past numbers no longer exist and that turnout is needed. All games on every screen suppresses higher numbers from the larger population centers.

As an adult, I can't imagine driving from Montgomery County to Cville nor from VB to Cville nowadays. It's a hellish drive from either.

Still, thanks for the cold water.

Nothing would make me happier than to win at home in front of a great crowd that puts us at 3-0 while we watch the teels go down to 1-2. Only thing that could make it better is if the Hokies lose to ODU and are 1-2 as well.

It’s probably because of the way you say it but it’s funny that you get downvoted for giving the reality of the situation. People on this board really can’t take anything but positivity.

Of course we won’t sell out. 50k would be a great crowd.

I guarantee if the phrase “stop asking for sellouts” was removed it wouldn’t have downvotes. Grown adults typically don’t enjoy being told what to do.

I’d set the bar for a good crowd at 55K—something like JMU last year.

I don’t mean it as an insult but most alums I know are somewhat invested in basketball and have no clue about anything football related

Same I flew across the Atlantic multiple times in a season to watch some games. If the product is good and we're winning people will show I think.

That’s fair. I think apathy obviously has set in with a lot of the fanbase. I don’t think any fanbase wouldn’t have similar apathy after our results in the recent years. That said, there’s still a core of alumni and some of the student body that are avid/rabid fans We just need to win

Don’t care about down votes. It’s simple reality that this football program isn’t in a place to sellout — absent of the away team bringing big numbers — unless DMV/757 Hoos start returning in larger numbers. Heck, Maryland drew 34K at home for Michigan State and that’s following the best run of success the Turtles have seen in recent seasons since Fridge in the 2000s.

Winning at Wake isn’t going to move the needle for a lot of people needed to fill Scott. Don’t take my word for it, just survey the secondary ticket market as a reliable barometer of fan interest. If there are 48K-50K with a packed student section, Athletics will be overjoyed and doing cartwheels! Based on how they have budgeted attendance for this season, that size crowd would move the needle for them!!!

I just want a packed student section. Students witnessing successful football is huge for the overall culture of the program. Those of us who grew up in the George era lived through something that kids born post 2003 really have not witnessed.

Would love a sell out! Having said that I’m hoping for a realistically announced crowd of 48-52k. People might be surprised but we will be pretty much in the middle of the pack in football attendance for the ACC. Consistent winning teams is what we need for more than 48-50k.

It's gonna be very reminiscent of the 2019 game vs FSU. Night game with about 42K in attendance. BUT the student section will be packed and those that are in attendance WILL BE HYPE! WAHOO FAITHFUL will be there and WILL BE READY!! LETS GOOOOO
