[Guide] Every Secret Achievement >>Updated June 2024<< (2024)

One of my favorite features across the Hypixel server is the achievements. In general, I love discovering secrets in games, so secret achievements are something I am really fond of. I decided that I should make a Secret Achievement Hub, with guides and information to all of them in one place, so here it is! If you have anything you are wondering about them that I did not mention, feel free to tell me, I want to make this as detailed as possible.

In case you do not know, Secret Achievements are the achievements that have no description in the achievement menu, but instead consist of question marks.

General:

1. Pass the hot potato from an Admin - 0 points. (Luck)

Although this achievement gives no points, it is highly sought after for the bragging rights. If you really still want it, I suggest you go to either Bedwars, Skywars, Classic, or Main lobby 1, and your best bet is after an update just got released, during a tournament, or when the server is at its peak player count during the day. You can also fish it up during the summer, which I discuss more about later.

If you do come across an Admin in a lobby, I advise you to not directly ask for it right away. Instead, hint to it, or make a potato related pun, while complimenting the Admin. If you get it, you should see an enchanted potato in your hotbar, click on someone else with it, and this should give you the achievement.

2. Complete the Hypixel anniversary scavenger hunt - 0 points. (Easy, but can only be done at the anniversary, which is in April)

The more recently added General secret achievement was introduced during Hypixel’s 7 year anniversary event, where in the main lobby, you had to do a scavenger hunt and talk with NPCs of Admins. Once you talked to Simon and Rezzus, you were given the achievement, which is also zero points, but it does give a click effect. There are many tutorials on Youtube for it, though in 2021 and the coming years, there will likely be different placements and Admins in the hunt.

Games:

Capture the Wool:

Capture the Wool is a fairly new gamemode to Arcade, though it was in Prototype for some time. When the mode was officially released, achievements were added, one of which was a secret one. The game is split into two teams, where the goal is to, as a team, capture two wools. The achievement requiring three might sound confusing, but doing it is not that difficult if you get into a small game.

You have to collect 1 wool for the team you start on, while that team gets none. Once you get the first wool, you have to go to the lobby, and rejoin, hoping to get onto the other team. From there, you have to capture both wools for that team and win the game. I suggest that you do this in a game that has less experienced players and less players in the game itself. If the game’s lobby is full, then you should not try to go for it. If the game starts with the least amount of players able to start the initial game, that is your best bet to get the achievement.

Murder Mystery:
Open the bank vault on the map Goldrush - 15 points. (medium, some luck)

Unlike other games such as Skywars or Bedwars, where the achievements are based on the game itself, the maps in Murder Mystery can give you achievements for doing certain tasks or feats on certain maps. Goldrush is no exception.

This achievement is done in steps.
First, shoot a bow at the button behind the iron bars of the bank, which can be found on the end of the map opposite of the train tracks. This should open the bars. You will then notice that there is a 4 digit code that can be entered. You will find papers across the map that have those numbers.
In the cave on the South corner of the map, use a Cactus Cleaner (can be bought for 2 gold from an NPC) to explode the cracked stone wall. You will find a chest in there with 2 digits, you should memorize those numbers.
Go to the sheriff’s office, which is next to the bank, the other direction from the cave. You will see an open cell with a chest inside. In that chest is the other two digits.
Put those 4 numbers into the lock next to the safe and you will get the achievement. If you have another cactus cleaner, then you can blow up the safe, and find tons of gold inside to take.

This does not sound too bad, and it really isn’t. Your best bet is to do this in Classic, not Double Up. This is so that there is only 1 murderer after you, and less players will get in your way. It will help to be the Detective, so you can go straight to the bank and open the bars. Another reason why it is good to be the detective is that if the murderer comes up to you, you can take out your bow and hope the murderer does not chase you. Do not insert the numbers in if there is a player right next to you, they can enter the last number and steal the achievement.

Skyblock:
At the time of this post, Skyblock has 10 different secret achievements, some easier than others.

1. Participate in the Dark Auction - 10 points. (Medium, requires lots of money)

First thing’s first, you’re going to want to have a lot of money. You won’t need to spend any, but you need a lot to enter the auction. To find the Dark Auction, you need to go to the coordinates 91, 75, 176. Once an hour, five minutes to the hour, i.e. 11:55, 3:55, 8:55, an NPC named Sirius will appear. With the money on you, spam click him and hope that you have more money on you than other users trying to click him. If you have enough, he will teleport you to the Dark Auction, where special items are sold, such as unique pets and the flower minion.

You don’t have to buy anything to get the achievement, but you have to stay the whole auction to receive it. If you don’t have enough, don’t worry! You have 24 chances a day to get in. I recommend you have at least 7+ Million on you when you try to get in. If you don’t have enough, he will tell you the minimum needed to get in that time.

2. Defeat a Superior Dragon - 10 points. (moderate, luck)

In the Dragon’s Nest on the End Island, there is a 4% chance that the dragon which is spawned is a Superior Dragon. It is the strongest dragon, and also has the most expensive dragon fragments. The achievement used to be that you had to land the final hit on it, but now you just have to damage it once at any point and you will get the achievement when it is defeated.

The dragon is quite fast, so I recommend you stay at the gate when it is spawned and shoot for the end crystals. If you hit just 1, you will get the achievement when it dies.

3. Place a flower in the Park's flower pot - 5 points (Easy)

The flower pot is found to the left of the entrance of the birch section of the park. This might sound easy, but you have to place an oxeye daisy in it, and it will not place instantly. You will have to click for at least 5 minutes straight, and perhaps longer if you have bad ping. Eventually, you will place it and get the achievement. You can find an oxeye daisy in the garden in the hub. I recommend you go to the back side of the pot so that players don't accidentally walk right in front of you while doing it.

4. Wear the full Monster Hunter armor set - 10 points. (Moderate, requires money)

This achievement requires you to wear 4 different pieces of armor. Grinding for them will take a long time, so you are better off buying them from the Auction House, or borrowing them from a friend. The armor consists of the Skeleton Helm, Guardian Chestplate, Creeper Pants, and the Spider Boots. Put them all on at once and you get the achievement.

5. Obtain Shrimp the Traveler Fish - 5 points. (Easy)

You can find Shrimp by mining glowing blocks in the end, (the blocks with red particles around them) and hoping it will drop. It is a low chance, but the reason this achievement is easy is because you can buy it from the Auction House, drop it, and still get the achievement. Shrimp can be found in the Other category of the AH.

6. Listen to the full Royal Resident's dialogue in the Dwarven Mines - 15 points, (easy, but takes a long time)

At the coordinates 63 204 200, there is an NPC who you have to talk to for over 30 minutes. You don't have to listen to what he says until the end. He will then teleport to another location, which is 65 211 199. He will talk about more random things, then give you a special cake. He will then start to count down from 10, expecting you to leave. If you don't he will start counting down from 5000. It takes around 6 hours for this to finish. Once he is done, he will say his final remarks, and you will get the achievement. Good luck not getting a server restart, that is really the only problem besides time.

7. Find the mushroom in the catacombs - 5 points. (easy, luck)

Occasionally in dungeons, there is a mushroom room with blocks and mushrooms. Using Superboom TNT, break the wall in that room. There should be an NPC named Winona behind that wall, which sells revive stones. In that room, click on red mushroom that is in the group of 3. This should bring you to another room and give you the achievement.

8. Kill a Deathmite in a dungeon - 5 points. (Moderate)

In the room with the ancient evil tomb, use Superboom TNT to blow up the diorite blocks and kill the Deathmite. Another way to get it is to go to the room with the lava in the middle, and use the TNT there. You might get the Deathmite stuck, making it easier to kill.

9. Kill a fairy in the fairy room while dead - 5 points. (easy)

While in a dungeon, die and go into the fairy room. Punch the fairy and you should get the achievement. Make sure not to use the Healer Class or it does not trigger. I recommend you find the room and then let a mob kill you, so you can easily get to the room.

10. Participate in a Cult of the Fallen Star meeting - 5 points. (easy, certain time)

In the Cliffside Veins in the Dwarven Mines, between 0 AM and 6 AM time in game on the 7th 14th 21st or 28th day of the month, go to the coordinates -26, 198, 40. Speak to Brarnas and recieve a Fallen Star Helmet, wear it into the meeting. When the meeting ends, you will get the achievement.

11. Complete Bednom's secret quest - 10 points. (easy)

In the Dwarven Mines at the coordinates -31, 214, -90, you will find Bednom, whom you must talk to on 3 different Skyblock days. On the third, he will tell you about a treasure which you can uncover. The treasure is found by mining down at the coordinates 3, 177, -69. By going back to him after you get the treasure you complete the quest giving you the achievement.

Seasonal:

Easter:

This one can only be done during the Easter event. All you have to do is type /easter into the chat in a lobby and you get the achievement, as well as a small surprise in your hotbar.

Halloween:
Find a room in the main lobby with a bunch of dancing skeletons -5 points (Easy)

In the main lobby, under the large pumpkin with the game NPCs on top, if you take a left and hug on the side, there should be a small hole which will lead to a group of Skeletons with some nice music. That will give you the achievement.

Christmas/New years:
Find Groopo's hideout - 5 points, (easy)

Once again, just search for a video on where to find the hideout on Youtube. You'll get the achievement as soon as you enter the room. For notice, it is in the same room that you could find Hypixel and Rezzus in the Anniversary event, but there is a small room behind that one.

On New Years Eve, if you are in a main lobby when the clock hits the hour, and that is 12 AM, January 1st in any timezone, you will get the achievement. This is likely so you won't have to stay up until midnight yourself. This achievement reward 5 points.

Summer:
Find all of the Special Fish while fishing in the main lobby - 20 points and School Cloak (luck + time required)

You can find the fishing hut in the main lobby next to the start of the parkour during the summertime. Start fishing, and you will find many things, some of which will be the special fish. You can claim Oops the Fish, one of the 7 from Jerry in Skyblock, it will boost you a bit into the achievement. It does not matter what time of day you do it, but it will take awhile, so be prepared to sit fishing for quite some time.
