There are hidden within LoL jokes made by Riot Games (easter eggs), events which trigger on specific conditions and champion passivesassociated with their lore story. Each of themhas aminor impacton the gameplay and in this guide we will look at themin more detail.

LoL EVENTS aka QUESTS

THE HUNT IS ON!

This event is about confrontation of Rengar againstKha’Zix(two champions who is often used during lol elo boosting) and the only easter egg thathas serious gameplay impact.

Requirements for“The Hunt Is On!” to be started:

• Kha’Zixhas to spend all threeevolution points thus it can’t happen until hereach level 16.
• Rengarshould have 12 stacks on his Bonetooth Necklace.
• Quests starts only when every player in the game is alive.

EVENT NOTES

• When event begins all players will receive “Quest Received” notification.
• “The Hunt Is On!”can’t happen more than once per game.

Rengar‘s reasonsand reward:

• Rengarshould take part in Kha’Zixslain(assist counts) to become the ultimate hunter.
• Kha’Zixthe only beast who have escaped Rengaraccording to the lore story.

If Rengarreach his goal firstBonetooth Necklace(unique item in Rengar‘strinket slot)is replaced withan item called Head of Kha’Zix. It provides advantages of full stackedBonetooth Necklaceand increases Rengar‘s vision in the bushes.

Head of Kha’Zix features:

• Rengargains flat movement speed while out of combat or while in brush.
• Unseen Predator’s range is increased by 125.
• Thrill of the Hunt stealth duration is increased.
• Thrill of the Hunt‘s bonus movement speed is doubled.
• Vision in bushes is increased.

Kha’Zix‘s reasons and reward:

• Kha’Zixshould take part in Rengarslain (assist counts) to become the ultimate predator.
• Kha’Zixwants to devour Rengar, his greatest prey.

If Kha’Zixreach his goal first he gains fourth evolution point. This allows Kha’Zixto evolve each of his abilities.

Winner of this event will get passive “Victory!” why loser gets “Defeat!“

THE BATTLE FOR FRELJORD

There are three champions in this event who confront each other for the Queen of the Freljord title: Ashe, Sejuani and Lissandra. Main reason of this event according to lore is that each of them want to rule Freljordbut have different views on how this should be done.

Requirement for“The battle for Freljord” to be started:

• The summ of kills and assist of each champion involved in quest should be at least20.

EVENT NOTES

• When event begins all players will receive “Quest Received” notification.
• There can be only one champion who is takingpart in the event per team (e.g. if Ashe and
  Sejuaniin same team whileLissandrain opposite, random choice betweenAshe and
  Sejuanidecidewho will participate in the event).
• Winner of the event receivesa crown above thehead until the end of the game (crown doesn’t disappear on death).

Ashe‘s goals:

• AgainstSejuani:Sejuanicannot be reasoned with. Ashemust defeat her to build a better future for the Freljord.
• AgainstLissandra:Lissandrais an abomination. Ashemust eliminate her to protect her people.

Winning the event:

• AgainstSejuani:Peace has been restored to the Freljord.Ashewill lead her people to a better future.
• AgainstLissandra:The natural order of the Freljord has been restored.Ashewill lead her people to a better future.

Sejuani‘s goals:

• AgainstAshe:Ashe’speaceful alliance must be broken.Sejuanimust kill her and rule with strength.
• AgainstLissandra:Lissandrais an abomination. Sejuanimust crush her to purify the Freljord.

Winning the event:

• AgainstAshe:Weakness has been purged from the Freljord. No one challengesSejuani’srule.
• AgainstLissandra:The Freljord has been purified.No one challengesSejuani’srule.

Lissandra‘s goals:

• AgainstAshe:Ashe’sis a powerful symbol for her people.Lissandramust kill her, so they will fall in line.
• AgainstSejuani:Sejuani is too reckless and powerful to control.Lissandramust put her down.

Winning the event:

• AgainstAshe:The Freljord tribes are underLissandra’scontrol. The rise of the Iceborn is at hand.
• AgainstSejuani:No one is strong enough to stopLissandra.The rise of the Iceborn is at hand.

If you win game on Howling Abyss asLissandra and won’t click “continue” for 30 seconds, she will tell you story of the battle for Freljord:

SUNGLASSES AGAINSTLEONA, EASTER EGG

Champions who wear sunglasses or do it in their skin variations receive 1 less damage from
Leona’sSunlight:

• Classic and Aristocrat Vayne
• Vandal Twitch
• Vandal Gragas
• Safari and Officer Caitlyn
• Dragon Fist Lee Sin

Sunlightdoes not deal additional 1 damage to Neon StrikeVi.

This is thereference to well known movie with Tom Hanks and Leonardo DiCaprio.

Whenever Jinxand Caitlyn/Vi (or they both in same moment) are in opposing teams, each of them gain“Catch me if you can!” cosmetic buff.

Jinxas criminal has next buff description:“Caitlyn and Viare chasing you. How fun! Cops Outsmarted:” followed by her total number of Caitlyn/Vikills/assists.

Caitlynand Vias cops have next buff description:“Jinx is causing chaos again. How obnoxious… Criminals Apprehended:” followed by their Jinxkills/assists.

On each kill or assist of their targets, participants of the event gain 1 additional gold.

ON THE CASE: “PITLOVER’S FINEST”

IfCaitlynandVi arein the same team they receive the buffOn The Case: “Piltover’s Finest”and gain additional 1 gold each time they score a kill together.

PLANTS VS ZOMBIES

This is reference to popular game in tower defense genre.

Sion and Karthus on one side and Zyra on other each gain 2 additional gold when they kill their rivals.

MORE ZYRA’SHIDDEN PASSIVES

There are two plant related hidden passivesZyra has:

• When Zyrahit byLeona’sSunlight, Zyra and her plants starting to glow slightly.
• When Maokai passes very near toZyrahe gains 1 movement speed buff.

NINJASEASTER EGGS

For each Ninja in team except yourself you lose 1 base HP. Ninja skins doesn’t count and it works only with following champions:

• Zed
• Shen
• Akali
• Kennen

EXPERIENCED COUGAR

Cougar is slang term which meanswomen whoseeks for sexual relations with considerably younger men.

Nidalee provides +5 experience every 5 second to nearby champions whose level is lower than her.

SKARNEREASTER EGG

If you spend 12 seconds in bush without any move, Skarnermaysay: “Skar Skar Skarner!“. This is reference to a pokemon anime.

REINDEER KOG’MAW LOVES CHRISTMAS
