Welcome to the Sandy Point Sailing Association ! Operating from Water street/Sandy Point in Beverly Massachusetts The Sandy Point Sailing Association is a 501(c)(3) organization offering a complete sailing instruction program for sailors of all ages and levels. The goal of the Sandy Point Sailing Association is to provide an opportunity for students to learn sailing and improve their skills in a fun, safe, and educational environment. Our youngest participants must be 8 years old by July 1st and entering at least the third grade. The course encourages self-confidence in young sailors and emphasizes safety and respect for the sea. The program is conducted under the leadership of instructors certified by the United States Sailing Association. At the conclusion of each session, students are evaluated and may graduate to the next level. Students often remain in the same level course for several sessions, as the goal is to master the skills at each level before advancing to the next. Feel free to contact us with any questions you may have about our classes, recommendations, or how you can become involved in Sandy Point Sailing. While we cannot bring parents out on our boats or docks, we welcome any participation and input you can give. Sandy Point is organized and maintained by the generosity of volunteers. We appreciate and welcome contributions, which are tax deductible under IRC Section 170(a) for 501(c)(3) for public charities. Please note that while contributions are generally tax deductible, program session fees are not.
